House and surroundingsCasa de Gandufe is situated a few kilometers from the village of Guilhofrei, close to the reservoir of Ermal. This former farm is tastfully rebuilt as a comfortable house, suitable for 6 people. The house stands at the end of a cobble stone road, conveniently situated for those who are looking for privacy.Next to the house is a patio with a long table and benches, shaded by vines – a most pleasant spot for warm afternoons or late summer evenings! Steps lead up to a lovely garden and the swimming pool with a sunny terrace. The pool has a shallow end and is therefore suitable for smaller children. From the terrace and the front of the house you have a beautiful view over the valley and the reservoir. The town of Vieira do Minho (all facilities) is about 10 km away, and the nearest restaurant 2 km on the road to Guilhofrei. Nearby - a 10 minute walk - is a café and a small grocery shop. Along the reservoir are beaches and nice places to swim. There is also the possibility to water-ski (“Tele-Ski”). |
