    First floor: 2 Double bedrooms, each with ensuite-bathroom and balcony.
    Heating: Underfloor heating, with an open fireplace in the living room.
    Amenities: TV, microwave oven, dishwasher, cot (at request).

House and surroundings

Quinta Travessa is a large, carefully restored farm just outside the town of Vieira do Minho. In the former granite built stables and barns 3 nice one bedroomed apartments were made. The layout is not identical, but all 3 have a living room, a well equipped kitchen, one bedroom and a bathroom. In each there is ample room for 2 to 3 people. The entrance is in the courtyard.

Behind the courtyard are 2 more apartments, each with 2 bedrooms. Both have a living room, a well equipped open kitchen, and on the first floor the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Through the gate at the back you enter the garden with the swimming pool, which is surrounded by a large lawn. The area looks out onto a field where cows sometimes are grazing.
Next to the charming courtyard, where all kinds of antique agricultural tools and machinery are on display, is a snooker room with a small bar. The stone barbecue and a dining table are in the covered part of the yard.
From the yard there is also access to the house of the owners.

The distance to the centre of the town of Vieira do Minho is less than 2 kms. There you will find all kinds of shops, banks, restaurants and cafés, and a large weekly market.
Along the nearby reservoir of Ermal (6 kms) are beaches and nice places to swim, and also a facility for waterskiing (“Tele-Ski”). More possibilities for water sports are to be found at the large reservoir of Caniçada (10 kms). There are canoes, pedal boats and motor boats for rent and you can also (learn to) water-ski.
