Casa dos Três Bicos stands in a rural area, overlooking a small green valley. This one storey property was designed by an architect and built about 10 years ago, with no other objective than to enjoy the sun, the view and the life outdoors. The house is very comfortable and tastefully furbished. The light and airy living-dining room has large glass doors that open onto the patio and the gardens. Also the three bedrooms are visually linked to the exterior, so if you wish you can look out into the garden even when lying in bed. Surrounding the house is a large, beautifully landscaped garden, that offers privacy especially at the back and all around the swimming pool. The grounds strech over the valley into woodland. At a lower level are some meadows and a stream that in the old days supplied the monastery in Cabeceiras with water. Casa dos Três Bicos is situated in Outeiro, about 2.5 kms from Cabeceiras de Basto. There you will find all kinds of shops, restaurants, the post office, banks, the health care centre etc., and the weekly market. Nearby, at walking distance, is a mini-mercado (a small shop with groceries and bread). |
