First floor: 3 Bedrooms; 2 double and 1 twin, each with ensuite bathroom.
Heating: Central heating, with an open fireplace in the living room.
Amenities: Private swimming pool (14x6x0.80/2.50m), TV, CD- and DVD-player, dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, cot (at request), barbecue.

House and surroundings

Quinta Vale do Vizela is situated in a quiet, rural area near the village of Vinhós, just North of the bustling market town of Fafe. It used to be part of the extensive lands of the Casa do Soeiro, owned by one of the oldest families of the region.

The present owners decided to transform the large, stone built barn into a comfortable holiday house for 6 people. The former eira (threshing floor) at the front is now a spacious patio. Alongside the back of the house is a covered veranda, where you can seek out the shade the whole day. The house is surrounded by a large garden, with an ample swimming pool at the front. The whole offers you all privacy.

Quinta Vale do Vizela is an excellent starting point for exploring Northern Portugal. The historic cities of Braga and Guimarães are only a half hour drive away, and via the A7 motorway just South of Fafe you can easily reach the coast, the city of Porto, the Douro valley and the untouched landscapes of Trás-os-Montes.
The vicinity of the nearby reservoir of Queimadela is a very pleasant walking area. Just South of Fafe is a 9-holes golf course.

The distance to Fafe is about 6 kms. There you will find a couple of large supermarkets and all other kinds of shops, restaurants, and a large weekly market. Nearby, at about 1.5 km, is a mini-mercado (a small shop with groceries and bread). The nearest restaurant is at walking distance; less than 1 km.
